We are a local friendly & welcoming family run business and our aim is to keep Basingstoke residents on the road. James Broadhurst is a highly experienced Bosch trained mechanic & qualified MOT tester who has gained his 23 years experience through working within main dealers, the RAC, Land Rover & Aston Martin Mondial Assistance & a highly successful local independent garage. His diagnostic expertise is exemplary & we are confident in taking on any automotive issue, however big or small.

Cat Broadhurst has worked within the motor industry for 17 years as a service advisor & bodywork estimator & has a very strong customer service ethic, focusing on maintaining strong relationships with all of our customers. Having worked for other companies we thought it was the right time to start working for ourselves & set up what is now, Avary James Automotive.

Best service I've had in years. Arrived without appointment, at 12am said they were fully booked but would try fit me it before 5pm. Call back at 14:45pm MOT. Done. Absolutely great service will return and recommend to friends and family. Keep up the good work Avary James.

I left my car with Avary James for a diagnosis due to lack of power. Within 30 minutes I'd had an email explaining the problem fully, with pictures showing the issue. It also included a concise description of the work required and cost to fix it. Excellent service from the team at Avary James. I habe also taken my car to them for tyres and again the service was excellent. All the staff are friendly. I highly recommend this independent garage if you need any servicing, tyres, diagnosis or MOT'S.

Had EML warning, low fuel rail system pressure low and car in limp mode, need a local Skoda speciaist Avary James was nearest, dropped car off, diagnosis was reasonably quick, estimate ok given genuine Skoda parts and naturally items on back order with payment upfront. Advised following week parts delivered dropped car off and was fixed and available within a couple of hours. Overall a good experience, reception polite and friendly.
