Used Avary James before, and came again a couple of days ago to get a full service for my car. Amazing job had it finished very quickly, and all around lovely people! Would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for an efficient, and friendly garage.

I had an issue with my ABS on my Skoda, I tried resolving it myself and found the fault wouldn't go away, I diagnosed the hub / wheel bearing with ABS ring to be faulty, I phoned several garages in basingstoke 3 of them refused to replace the hub, 1 said they would need the car for a day to diagnose 3 said they would get back to me.Avary James were the last garage that I called and within 3 hours of phoning them they had got back to me and given me a very reasonable quote. They also said they could also book this in 2 days later.I booked the car in with them and dropped it off 2 days later.4 hours after booking the car in they phoned me up and had diagnosed a part that I had replace was faulty and they could replace that instead of the hub / bearing.I authorised them to replace the sensor instead and within an hour had a text and email giving me a breakdown of the costs and to let me know the car was ready.Spoke with the lady on reception who was very informative.Due to them replacing the correct faulty part the quote had changed, this saved me over £150 on the original quote.Great service, very knowledgeable and very well priced, would recommend!

Not what they used to be, polite but extremely overpriced.Took the car here and explained a known fault prior to getting it MOTed which would need doing. My wife was then called up with a quote following a pre MOT inspection of around £1000! This included £75 to diagnose the fault which had already been pointed out, around £100 to change a pair of wiper blades, as well as various parts being quoted with part numbers which when checked on eurocarparts can be all be found about 20% cheaper per item.Sometimes you can argue that garages have to take into account unexpected issues or costs. But when working out rough labour times and actual parts cost and the quote still being over double what it realistically should be, this just screams of a rip off.Used to be regular customers here for MOT etc. Now will not be returning sadly.

Avery James sorted out a complex electrical problem on an old car for me. It's good to have found a garage that will tackle this kind of work. They're not the cheapest garage around, and for my particular car, I had to book weeks ahead to get the right person to be available, but I will be back. Enough said.

I’ve had issues with my car for a while and have gone to a few other garages but they couldn’t find the issueI came to Avary James start of March and they investigated my car and found the issues no problem.I came back here later this month for a few other minor problems to get sorted as well :)Everyone here is lovely and would 1000% recommend coming to this garage!

NICE PLACE TO SPEND MONEY IF YOU HAVE LOTS IN YOUR HANDAbsolutely stunning. I gave my car Merc because the front sensor was beeping most of the times. They did a brilliant investigation it seems and told me it’s because the NUMBER PLATE was not sticking properly and JUST CHARGED me ONLY 68 POUNDS for 2 screws HAHAHA.. Now comes the best part.. I called them at 16:22 and they said they literally just now started looking at it and they messaged me me at 16:48 asking me to call back. I called them immediately and they told me they identified the issue and it was a simple thing. But the funny part is they charged me 68 pounds and in my invoice the total time they spent was more than 60 MINS … Really brilliant. I want to know the watch they using to measure time hehehhe…Now coming to the fair point..An experienced mechanic would have easily spotted this by looking at the car. I would suggest them to get trained on how to investigate a problem.I went to this place again for servicing the car thinking will give a second chance and this time they did a brilliant job. Issues were explained in details and the service was quite happy

I was introduced to Avery James by the AA man who came to look at my MX5 that wouldn’t start, it needed taking to a garage and Mazda wouldn’t take it at the time snd it would have been 6 weeks before being looked at. I was followed the Avery James who have been so helpful and booked the car in and sorted the problem providing regular updates. All sorted, I had another problem so popped in and everyone is so helpful and accommodating, nothing is any trouble. A great bunch of people. Will use for my next service in January and cannot recommend highly enough.

Contacted Avary James as I found out my locking wheel nut had been rounded and another garage was unable to remove it to change my tyre. I contacted them the evening before and explained my situation and was advised to pop in the next day after work to see what they could do. I was quoted and hours labour which I thought was reasonable. When I arrived I was greeted by the friendly team who were really caring, helpful and honest (which I appreciate!) In a panic knowing I needed my tyre changing, the reassured me they would do what they could. They advised they were booked up for the rest of the day but would try and squeeze me in. I left my car knowing it would not be a 5 minute job, and was even offered a bottle of water for the bus journey home whilst awaiting the outcome. Low and behold they were extremely true to their word - around 1.5 hours later I received a text message and phone call to say it was all done and the car was ready to be collected. The service provided here is second to none, and will be my first port of call for any issues with my car from now on. The customer service is amazing, realistic, honest and very friendly. I’m not sure how long it took them to complete the task, but they charged me for 1/2 hours labour which was reassuring to know these guys will not rip you off, and are honest. Sure they’re not a bottom dollar garage, but I’m sure happy to pay a little bit extra for the peace of mind and service they offer.

Today was the first time using Avary James, after being recommended by my usual Mechanic. I am really impressed by everything! Really friendly staff, my car was booked in within a day and finished within a few hours. I was given a lift to work and the team then dropped my car off to the office for me. We used to use Deming Car Services to service and mot our cars. Unfortunately they stopped trading and Avary James Automotive took over their premises. So we decided to give them a try.We have been pleasantly surprised. They have serviced and 'moted' one of our vehicles and replaced a cambelt and drive belt on another. The costs have been reasonable and inline with their estimates for the work. They have always contacted us for approval if they find extra work may be necessary. Without our requesting it they have kept the damaged components for our inspection when the extra work was found to be necessary (how many garages do that?).They do have a delay of a few weeks between booking a service and actually getting the work done on your car, but when we needed work doing urgently they fitted us in.I would recommend Avary James based on my experience.

We first used Avary James after a fault on our car was not fixed by another garage. James, Cat and the whole team made us feel like the most important customers in the world. The diagnostic process was explained in detail and their perseverance has paid off and our car is fixed. Had my car a quick checked here a month ago. They were friendly and even offer NHS discount for any service that they will do. However, their quote for me for the parts and service is twice the price when I had my car checked for a 2nd opinion to another garage. They even suggested to repair some parts that the 2nd garage does not think it needs repairing. My first experience to a garage but I felt I was being ripped off. Given the circumstances we have today because of inflation, I don't think I will recommend. Good thing I went for a 2nd opinion. I thought I will also leave a good review here as others do. That is why I went here because of the many good reviews. Don't get me wrong, I am only speaking for my experience and I strongly feel to share this here. 2 stars because I still appreciate that they are friendly and approachable.

1st Time that I have used Avary James. Had a problem with my Vauxhall with numerous warning signs on the dashboard. James found a damaged wire behind the dashboard which I guess took some perseverance and patience to find (my usual garage was not interested in this, I guess because of how difficult it would be to rectify). They fitted me in at short notice and did a brilliant job. Communication was 1st rate keeping me informed of what work was needed and progress.If you need any diagnostics work doing these guys are top class.Very friendly and will most definitely use again. Firstly, I was little bit cautious to take my Mercedes Benz to Avary James as I have heard of many local garage damage people car based on not having enough skillset of staffs that can do modern cars. Avary James did a good job on my car and they also give warranty to give someone peace of mind in case something goes wrong to bring the car back. I was getting update on each step of my car via phone calls and email. I will recommend Avary James to friends and family. They have a good customer service and people management. They will give you genuine advice and not sugar coating anything. Excellent job keep it up

I contacted Avary James based on the positive reviews online and I have to say I am glad I did.My Alfa Romeo Mito suffered a coolant leak, but I could not located where. Cat was lovely when I called to book my car in and took notes to document what I had noticed from inspecting my car.Dropping off was smooth for my appointment and they supported me dropping off the day before to work around my working hours. There is also amble parking in the area to make it easy to drop off.Once the fault had been identified I was emailed an itemised quote and a call to ask how to proceed straight away.My faulty radiator has been repaired quickly and the work was as per quoted. The garage road tested my car also to ensure that all was okay with my vehicle before handback.I will be using Avary James again the service I received was great, the team are really friendly and they are also reasonably priced.

I phoned around and around and got the same story... exceptionally busy sorry sir. AJC said the same initially but said bring it in and we can check it quickly to see if we can help point you to the issue.I jumped at this offer of assistance and popped round to their centre. I got made a cup of coffee and waited whilst they checked my auto over. They diagnosed the fault in ten mins, phoned round three parts centres and got the needed parts on order in fifteen mins for me. I got offered a lift home (sorry what?) and whilst waiting for the car collection notice a few hours later heard the gravel on drive crunching and looked out to see my car being parked for me at home.I think I am lucky enough to be close to them but will let the team at AJC comment.Paid immediately and when phoned to say all finished immediately booked my next service.Simply perfect service.

Really disappointed, new to the area and booked my car in for an MOT after reading the great reviews. Not only are they very expensive particularly on labour costs which are comparable to main dealer prices, they managed to chip my windscreen and refused to repair or pay for it. I had to claim on my insurance and when I called to tell them and they refused to pay unless I produced an invoice which I don't have. I would definitely not be returning here or recommending to family or friends. They could have so easily resolved this by paying £20 excess but they would rather have a bad review on google. Not a smart way to run a business.Edit - What an awful response to attack the customer, but i am not surprised given the attitude of the lady I spoke to who constantly kept talking over me when I called. More interesting how they have their google cronies ready to defend them in minutes. New customers beware!!! they have friends writing fake reviews to boost their business, you can clearly see this by most of their reviews come from those who have left 1 review only. I wish I had noticed this before being left with a damaged car.

One of the best places I’ve ever had look after my cars in 15 years of driving. I totally trust them to the point where I drop my car off after hours, get a call to say the work is done, pay online or over the phone and collect it after hours the following day. James and his team are extremely thorough and leave no stone unturned when servicing a car. They will list and advise on the most minor things as preventative measures before they develop into big expensive faults so your car will always be in perfect mechanical condition at minimum cost. A very rare honest and trustworthy garage!

Obviously very knowledgeable and most helpful. Parking a bit of a problem but nothing wrong with the service, prices or information exchange.Well they did it again. Late request for an MOT as brake components arrived too late to leave any time before the MOT test. The team was really really helpful dealing with my 1997 Jaguar XK8 (58,000 miles !!!). Got the the test booked the same day of my request. Left the car with them and 3 hours later they completed the test and even drove the car back to my home (they had a second vehicle so I didn't even have to take them back) It passed but got good feedback for the future. Some service wouldn't you say. Brilliant from both the office team for booking and the team for completing the task.You just can't beat that level of service. It saved me usage problems. Thanks to all concerned. And to the return driver, yes, you will be getting my 2003 BMW Z4 (76k) next month. I promise to be late next time.

My boot was in a mess after a spoiler removal, James was very informative giving me the details of exactly what would be done and how. James was very particular about things being done properly and not cutting corners could tell he takes pride in the work being done in his garage from the get go, this was proven when he informed me he wasn’t happy with the final result and would re do it the next day (no extra fee)I couldn’t believe my eyes when i saw the car, not only had the boot been painted which we had agreed on but also both rear quarters! ( had a visible scrape on the right side before taking it there) so was over the moon to see that had been sorted. even tidied up and polished the bumper looks brand new, perfect colour match also.Highly recommended!Thanks again James 👍

Used several times for two cars. Easily fixed air Con problem another garage had not fixed despite them apparently checking. Cleaned and fixed a stuck window mechanism without full replacement which had been quoted at another well known garage. Sourced and fixed underbody damage for almost cost of parts, ie didn’t overcharge on Labour. Did great repairs to body work scuffs and paint problems.Prices in line with other well known garages that I checked against but I note using genuine parts not just cheapest. I would definitely recommend as trust their advice and importantly their skills.

I first bought my car from James 7 years ago and I have always gone back for it to be serviced and to have minor repairs done. Even when I bought it he did a thourough check and rectified any problems priot to selling it to me. For the last 2 years it has sailed through its M.O.T. with no issues, which speaks volumns for the level of care and service that Avery James provide. After taking my Corsa to a local chain garage who failed to diagnose or fix the problems(just assumed things). I took it to the guys at Avary James, after seeing recommendations... The team are very professional and work was carried out quickly and I was informed of everything that needed replacing and why the problems may have appeared. I feel like they have genuine value in their customers and that is very important for a family run business. Everything was made clear, good communication and the price to fix it was reasonable which suprised me considering the other place said it would cost more than the car's worth to fix(blown head gasket assumption and multiple lies!) Turns out was just a few leaks. Would highly recommend the friendly lot at Avary James...will be returning. My go to garage from now on👍top job guys thanks again🙂

I had only used Avary once before, earlier this year. I had seen their name on Facebook and had read the reviews, they also came highly recommended on the local Facebook groups. So of course I was so glad that they could help me this time with my suspension. I hadn't driven my car in a few days due to working from home/ lockdown-weekend-in so when it came to using it on Monday, it stressed me out so much finding that something was majorly wrong! Cat was so good helping me out and as I was worried to drive my car to them, they came to collect it from my office and got everything sorted for me so I could collect at the end of the day and not have to worry about it after that. They are all so friendly and knowledgeable so I would recommend to friends in the area for sure!

Booked car in on sat morning as fuel tank leaking. Went to collect in afternoon, car in same space just facing opposite direction. Fuel level still same as when it was left ( it needed topping up to show the leak ). No attempt to diagnose where it was leaking .....just told "it needs a new fuel tank" and charged £40!. ...I knew that already!It had just been turned round and parked where I left it! They must think I was born yesterday! Was told they'd be in touch with a price for fuel tank but this was over 3 weeks ago.....still not heard from them!Nice easy £40 for turning a car round! When my car started making a terrible metallic scraping sound late on a Saturday morning I was despairing at the thought of out how I would fit having a fault diagnosis & repair done with commuting to work on the Monday. I tried phoning Avary James for the first time as they were recommended on our local community group and I was invited to come around then and there, and within 5 minutes of arriving he had test driven my car and was inspecting it in the workshop. The issue was diagnosed and fixed on the spot (was a pebble stuck between the brake disk and shield) and I was on my way home in under half an hour. Thank you for rescuing my weekend and Monday! This kind of attentiveness is not something I've been used to mainly using main dealers in the past.

I had an issue with my ABS on my Skoda, I tried resolving it myself and found the fault wouldn't go away, I diagnosed the hub / wheel bearing with ABS ring to be faulty, I phoned several garages in basingstoke 3 of them refused to replace the hub, 1 said they would need the car for a day to diagnose 3 said they would get back to me.Avary James were the last garage that I called and within 3 hours of phoning them they had got back to me and given me a very reasonable quote. They also said they could also book this in 2 days later.I booked the car in with them and dropped it off 2 days later.4 hours after booking the car in they phoned me up and had diagnosed a part that I had replace was faulty and they could replace that instead of the hub / bearing.I authorised them to replace the sensor instead and within an hour had a text and email giving me a breakdown of the costs and to let me know the car was ready.Spoke with the lady on reception who was very informative.Due to them replacing the correct faulty part the quote had changed, this saved me over £150 on the original quote.Great service, very knowledgeable and very well priced, would recommend!

Not what they used to be, polite but extremely overpriced.Took the car here and explained a known fault prior to getting it MOTed which would need doing. My wife was then called up with a quote following a pre MOT inspection of around £1000! This included £75 to diagnose the fault which had already been pointed out, around £100 to change a pair of wiper blades, as well as various parts being quoted with part numbers which when checked on eurocarparts can be all be found about 20% cheaper per item.Sometimes you can argue that garages have to take into account unexpected issues or costs. But when working out rough labour times and actual parts cost and the quote still being over double what it realistically should be, this just screams of a rip off.Used to be regular customers here for MOT etc. Now will not be returning sadly.

NICE PLACE TO SPEND MONEY IF YOU HAVE LOTS IN YOUR HANDAbsolutely stunning. I gave my car Merc because the front sensor was beeping most of the times. They did a brilliant investigation it seems and told me it’s because the NUMBER PLATE was not sticking properly and JUST CHARGED me ONLY 68 POUNDS for 2 screws HAHAHA.. Now comes the best part.. I called them at 16:22 and they said they literally just now started looking at it and they messaged me me at 16:48 asking me to call back. I called them immediately and they told me they identified the issue and it was a simple thing. But the funny part is they charged me 68 pounds and in my invoice the total time they spent was more than 60 MINS … Really brilliant. I want to know the watch they using to measure time hehehhe…Now coming to the fair point..An experienced mechanic would have easily spotted this by looking at the car. I would suggest them to get trained on how to investigate a problem.I went to this place again for servicing the car thinking will give a second chance and this time they did a brilliant job. Issues were explained in details and the service was quite happy

I was introduced to Avery James by the AA man who came to look at my MX5 that wouldn’t start, it needed taking to a garage and Mazda wouldn’t take it at the time snd it would have been 6 weeks before being looked at. Contacted Avary James as I found out my locking wheel nut had been rounded and another garage was unable to remove it to change my tyre. I contacted them the evening before and explained my situation and was advised to pop in the next day after work to see what they could do. I was quoted and hours labour which I thought was reasonable. When I arrived I was greeted by the friendly team who were really caring, helpful and honest (which I appreciate!) In a panic knowing I needed my tyre changing, the reassured me they would do what they could. They advised they were booked up for the rest of the day but would try and squeeze me in. I left my car knowing it would not be a 5 minute job, and was even offered a bottle of water for the bus journey home whilst awaiting the outcome. Low and behold they were extremely true to their word - around 1.5 hours later I received a text message and phone call to say it was all done and the car was ready to be collected. The service provided here is second to none, and will be my first port of call for any issues with my car from now on. The customer service is amazing, realistic, honest and very friendly. I’m not sure how long it took them to complete the task, but they charged me for 1/2 hours labour which was reassuring to know these guys will not rip you off, and are honest. Sure they’re not a bottom dollar garage, but I’m sure happy to pay a little bit extra for the peace of mind and service they offer.

We used to use Deming Car Services to service and mot our cars. Unfortunately they stopped trading and Avary James Automotive took over their premises. So we decided to give them a try.We have been pleasantly surprised. They have serviced and 'moted' one of our vehicles and replaced a cambelt and drive belt on another. The costs have been reasonable and inline with their estimates for the work. They have always contacted us for approval if they find extra work may be necessary. Without our requesting it they have kept the damaged components for our inspection when the extra work was found to be necessary (how many garages do that?).They do have a delay of a few weeks between booking a service and actually getting the work done on your car, but when we needed work doing urgently they fitted us in.I would recommend Avary James based on my experience.

Had my car a quick checked here a month ago. They were friendly and even offer NHS discount for any service that they will do. However, their quote for me for the parts and service is twice the price when I had my car checked for a 2nd opinion to another garage. They even suggested to repair some parts that the 2nd garage does not think it needs repairing. My first experience to a garage but I felt I was being ripped off. Given the circumstances we have today because of inflation, I don't think I will recommend. Good thing I went for a 2nd opinion. I thought I will also leave a good review here as others do. That is why I went here because of the many good reviews. Don't get me wrong, I am only speaking for my experience and I strongly feel to share this here. 2 stars because I still appreciate that they are friendly and approachable.

1st Time that I have used Avary James. Had a problem with my Vauxhall with numerous warning signs on the dashboard. James found a damaged wire behind the dashboard which I guess took some perseverance and patience to find (my usual garage was not interested in this, I guess because of how difficult it would be to rectify). They fitted me in at short notice and did a brilliant job. Communication was 1st rate keeping me informed of what work was needed and progress.If you need any diagnostics work doing these guys are top class.Very friendly and will most definitely use again. Firstly, I was little bit cautious to take my Mercedes Benz to Avary James as I have heard of many local garage damage people car based on not having enough skillset of staffs that can do modern cars. Avary James did a good job on my car and they also give warranty to give someone peace of mind in case something goes wrong to bring the car back. I was getting update on each step of my car via phone calls and email. I will recommend Avary James to friends and family. They have a good customer service and people management. I contacted Avary James based on the positive reviews online and I have to say I am glad I did.My Alfa Romeo Mito suffered a coolant leak, but I could not located where. Cat was lovely when I called to book my car in and took notes to document what I had noticed from inspecting my car.Dropping off was smooth for my appointment and they supported me dropping off the day before to work around my working hours. There is also amble parking in the area to make it easy to drop off.Once the fault had been identified I was emailed an itemised quote and a call to ask how to proceed straight away.My faulty radiator has been repaired quickly and the work was as per quoted. The garage road tested my car also to ensure that all was okay with my vehicle before handback.I will be using Avary James again the service I received was great, the team are really friendly and they are also reasonably priced.

What an exceptional place!!!Cannot recommend enough.An impossible ask and achieved, with a smile, at an affordable price and with added unasked for extras.I travel alot for work.. my car did what they all do on occasion and let me down. I phoned around and around and got the same story... exceptionally busy sorry sir. AJC said the same initially but said bring it in and we can check it quickly to see if we can help point you to the issue.I jumped at this offer of assistance and popped round to their centre. I got made a cup of coffee and waited whilst they checked my auto over. They diagnosed the fault in ten mins, phoned round three parts centres and got the needed parts on order in fifteen mins for me. I got offered a lift home (sorry what?) and whilst waiting for the car collection notice a few hours later heard the gravel on drive crunching and looked out to see my car being parked for me at home.I think I am lucky enough to be close to them but will let the team at AJC comment.Paid immediately and when phoned to say all finished immediately booked my next service.Simply perfect service.

Really disappointed, new to the area and booked my car in for an MOT after reading the great reviews. Not only are they very expensive particularly on labour costs which are comparable to main dealer prices, they managed to chip my windscreen and refused to repair or pay for it. I had to claim on my insurance and when I called to tell them and they refused to pay unless I produced an invoice which I don't have. I would definitely not be returning here or recommending to family or friends. They could have so easily resolved this by paying £20 excess but they would rather have a bad review on google. Not a smart way to run a business.Edit - What an awful response to attack the customer, but i am not surprised given the attitude of the lady I spoke to who constantly kept talking over me when I called. More interesting how they have their google cronies ready to defend them in minutes. New customers beware!!! they have friends writing fake reviews to boost their business, you can clearly see this by most of their reviews come from those who have left 1 review only. I wish I had noticed this before being left with a damaged car.

One of the best places I’ve ever had look after my cars in 15 years of driving. I totally trust them to the point where I drop my car off after hours, get a call to say the work is done, pay online or over the phone and collect it after hours the following day. James and his team are extremely thorough and leave no stone unturned when servicing a car. They will list and advise on the most minor things as preventative measures before they develop into big expensive faults so your car will always be in perfect mechanical condition at minimum cost. A very rare honest and trustworthy garage!

Obviously very knowledgeable and most helpful. Parking a bit of a problem but nothing wrong with the service, prices or information exchange.Well they did it again. Late request for an MOT as brake components arrived too late to leave any time before the MOT test. The team was really really helpful dealing with my 1997 Jaguar XK8 (58,000 miles !!!). Got the the test booked the same day of my request. Left the car with them and 3 hours later they completed the test and even drove the car back to my home (they had a second vehicle so I didn't even have to take them back) It passed but got good feedback for the future. Some service wouldn't you say. Brilliant from both the office team for booking and the team for completing the task.You just can't beat that level of service. It saved me usage problems. Thanks to all concerned. And to the return driver, yes, you will be getting my 2003 BMW Z4 (76k) next month. I promise to be late next time.

My boot was in a mess after a spoiler removal, James was very informative giving me the details of exactly what would be done and how. James was very particular about things being done properly and not cutting corners could tell he takes pride in the work being done in his garage from the get go, this was proven when he informed me he wasn’t happy with the final result and would re do it the next day (no extra fee)I couldn’t believe my eyes when i saw the car, not only had the boot been painted which we had agreed on but also both rear quarters! ( had a visible scrape on the right side before taking it there) so was over the moon to see that had been sorted. even tidied up and polished the bumper looks brand new, perfect colour match also.Highly recommended!Thanks again James 👍

Used several times for two cars. Easily fixed air Con problem another garage had not fixed despite them apparently checking. Cleaned and fixed a stuck window mechanism without full replacement which had been quoted at another well known garage. Sourced and fixed underbody damage for almost cost of parts, ie didn’t overcharge on Labour. Did great repairs to body work scuffs and paint problems.Prices in line with other well known garages that I checked against but I note using genuine parts not just cheapest. I would definitely recommend as trust their advice and importantly their skills.

Even when I bought it he did a thourough check and rectified any problems priot to selling it to me. For the last 2 years it has sailed through its M.O.T. with no issues, which speaks volumns for the level of care and service that Avery James provide. After taking my Corsa to a local chain garage who failed to diagnose or fix the problems(just assumed things). I took it to the guys at Avary James, after seeing recommendations... The team are very professional and work was carried out quickly and I was informed of everything that needed replacing and why the problems may have appeared. I feel like they have genuine value in their customers and that is very important for a family run business. Everything was made clear, good communication and the price to fix it was reasonable which suprised me considering the other place said it would cost more than the car's worth to fix(blown head gasket assumption and multiple lies!) I had only used Avary once before, earlier this year. I had seen their name on Facebook and had read the reviews, they also came highly recommended on the local Facebook groups. So of course I was so glad that they could help me this time with my suspension. I hadn't driven my car in a few days due to working from home/ lockdown-weekend-in so when it came to using it on Monday, it stressed me out so much finding that something was majorly wrong! Cat was so good helping me out and as I was worried to drive my car to them, they came to collect it from my office and got everything sorted for me so I could collect at the end of the day and not have to worry about it after that. They are all so friendly and knowledgeable so I would recommend to friends in the area for sure!

It is always a tough decision when you work in the trade and you have to put your car into a garage, however my mind was eased from the initial phone call to make the booking! Super service and a real attention to detail when making the booking so every promise can be kept! They looked after the car as if it was there own! Booked car in on sat morning as fuel tank leaking. Went to collect in afternoon, car in same space just facing opposite direction. Fuel level still same as when it was left ( it needed topping up to show the leak ). No attempt to diagnose where it was leaking .....just told "it needs a new fuel tank" and charged £40!. ...I knew that already!It had just been turned round and parked where I left it! They must think I was born yesterday! Was told they'd be in touch with a price for fuel tank but this was over 3 weeks ago.....still not heard from them!Nice easy £40 for turning a car round! Avoid !

No hard sell like in some garages, very competitively priced (even against some of the huge chains nearby). When my car started making a terrible metallic scraping sound late on a Saturday morning I was despairing at the thought of out how I would fit having a fault diagnosis & repair done with commuting to work on the Monday. I tried phoning Avary James for the first time as they were recommended on our local community group and I was invited to come around then and there, and within 5 minutes of arriving he had test driven my car and was inspecting it in the workshop. The issue was diagnosed and fixed on the spot (was a pebble stuck between the brake disk and shield) and I was on my way home in under half an hour. Thank you for rescuing my weekend and Monday! This kind of attentiveness is not something I've been used to mainly using main dealers in the past.
